This page exists so that nobody has to work it out from the marketing. Five things this product does not do, and three it does.
What this product does not do
It does not represent you to anyone. Not to a creditor, not to a court, not to an authority. Nothing is filed, sent or signed on your behalf.
It does not negotiate with your creditors. There is no contact between Debt-Free.World and anyone you owe money to, at any point.
It does not handle your money and does not take payments meant for creditors. Payments to creditors are made by you, directly to them. The only money that ever reaches us is the 19€ for the 90-Day Companion, if you choose it.
It does not give legal advice. It can say what a term means and what a consequence normally is; it cannot say what your legal position is.
It does not replace debt counselling or financial counselling. Those services are licensed in many countries and this one is not. That is the reason the national organisations appear on every page.
What it does instead
It puts your own numbers in one place — every debt, every rate, every date — and does the arithmetic that follows from them.
It sets out the routes that exist in your situation and what each one leads to, side by side. Which route to take is yours to decide.
It shows the national organisations that can act where we cannot, from the first page onwards — not in a footnote at the end.
We do not replace these services. We are built to be used alongside them.
