What's free
Is it really free? No catch?+

Yes. The free plan, all analysis, and your personal member area are free — permanently. No credit card required. No trial period. No hidden costs. Free means free.

Debt Recovery (19 €, one-time) is an optional upgrade that gives you a companion programme for 90 days. It is not required to use the service.

Will it always be free?+

Yes. The core free service is a permanent commitment — not a temporary offer. Debt-Free.world was built on the principle that financial guidance should be accessible to everyone, regardless of income.

Do I need to create an account?+

No account or password needed. Enter your email address to receive your plan and access your personal member area. That's it.

What is the member area?+

Both free and paid users get access to a personal member area — sign in with your email, no password needed. The member area is where your plan lives and where you access the tools included in your plan.

What does Debt Recovery add?+

Debt Recovery (19 €, one-time) is your companion programme for 90 days. You get everything in the free plan, plus:

Is there a subscription or auto-renewal?+

No. Debt Recovery is a single one-time payment of 19 €. There is no subscription, no auto-renewal, and no recurring charge of any kind. You pay once. Access lasts 90 days.

What happens after 90 days?+

Your Debt Recovery programme access expires after 90 days. After that, your account moves to a 12-month archive — you can still log in and download your plan and any letters you generated, but the active tools (creditor letter generator, check-ins, calculators) are no longer available.

Near the end of that 12-month archive period, we'll email you in advance so nothing disappears as a surprise. After 12 months of inactivity, the account and its data are deleted.

Can't afford 19 €?+

On the Ecosystem page, under Debt Recovery, you'll find a "Community Access" option. Click it and you'll go straight to checkout with the price already at 0 € — no code to enter, no explanation needed, no waiting for a reply. Financial freedom should never depend on your ability to pay.

Can I get a refund?+

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU Art. 16(m), digital content delivered immediately upon purchase is exempt from the standard 14-day withdrawal right — which you waive at checkout before payment.

That said, we operate a goodwill policy. If you have a genuine issue, contact support@debt-free.world and we will handle it fairly. We have no interest in keeping money from someone who didn't benefit.

What payment methods are accepted?+

Payment is processed via Stripe — the same payment infrastructure used by Amazon, Shopify, and millions of businesses globally. All major credit and debit cards are accepted. The transaction appears as Amliv Oy on your statement.

How long do you keep my data and my plan?+

We don't promise "forever" for either product — that would not be honest, and honesty matters more to us than a nicer-sounding answer. Instead, here is exactly what happens:

  • DEBT FREE (free): your account and data are kept for 90 days from your last activity. If you don't return within that window, everything is deleted.
  • Debt Recovery (19 €): 90 days of active access, plus a further 12-month archive where you can still log in and download your plan and letters — just without the active tools. After 12 months of inactivity, the account is deleted.

In both cases, we email you before anything is deleted, so it's never a surprise.

Your plan
How is my plan generated?+

Your plan is built from the specific data you provide — your income, household type, debt amounts, interest rates, housing costs, employment situation, country, and language. It does not produce generic templates. It calculates your actual monthly gap, projects a realistic debt-free date, and gives you country-specific resources and next steps.

How accurate is the debt-free date?+

The date is calculated from your actual numbers using standard amortisation. It assumes you maintain your current payment pace. It is accurate to the extent your input is accurate — which is why we ask for real numbers, not estimates.

If your situation changes (income, interest rate, new debts), the date will change. The plan is a starting point, not a guarantee.

Is the plan delivered to my email?+

Yes. Your plan is emailed to you immediately after submission, and it stays in your member area for as long as you keep using it. If a free account is inactive for 90 days, the account and its data are deleted — we'll email you in advance if that's about to happen. Check your spam folder if your plan does not arrive within a few minutes. The sender is insights@debt-free.world.

What languages are supported?+

Your plan can be generated in 19 languages: English, Finnish, Swedish, German, Norwegian, Danish, Dutch, Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Czech, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Romanian, and Croatian. Select your language before submitting the form.

Which countries are supported?+

The service works globally. Country-specific content — legal rights, creditor negotiation norms, government support programmes, and debt counselling services — is tailored for 40+ countries. If your country is not listed, select "Other" and your plan will include general guidance applicable to your region.

Is this legal advice?+

No. Debt-Free.world provides financial guidance and information — not legal advice. For country-specific legal matters, particularly if you are facing enforcement, court proceedings, or insolvency, consult a qualified legal professional or your country's free debt counselling service. We include local referrals in every plan.

Privacy & data
What data do you collect?+

We collect the information you provide in the form: income, household type, debt situation, housing costs, country, language, and email address. This data is used solely to generate your plan and send you relevant updates. See our full Privacy Policy.

Who can see my financial information?+

Your data is processed by our technology and email provider (Brevo) for the purpose of generating and delivering your plan. It is not shared with any other third party, not sold, and not used for advertising.

Will anyone contact me?+

We will never call you. We may send relevant email updates — you can unsubscribe at any time from any email we send. We do not have a sales team and we do not do outbound calls.

How do I delete my data?+

Email support@debt-free.world with the subject "Data deletion request" and your email address. We will delete all associated data within 30 days and confirm when done.

Technical
How does my member area work?+

The moment you enter your email and continue, we send your access link straight away — before you've even started the questions that build your plan. That link is yours to use any time, whether you finish the form right then or come back to it later.

Clicking the link opens your member area directly — no password required. Once you complete the short form, your personalised plan appears there. If you purchased Debt Recovery, your 90-day programme tools are available immediately after a short onboarding.

I did not receive my plan or access link. What do I do?+

Check your spam or junk folder first — emails from insights@debt-free.world occasionally get filtered. If it is not there within 5 minutes, write to support@debt-free.world with the email address you used and we will resend it manually.

Does the service work on mobile?+

Yes. Debt-Free.world is fully responsive and works on all modern browsers on mobile, tablet, and desktop. No app download required.
